Evrsoft’s previous web design tool was popular with casual developers and the pros alike. In 2006, Evrsoft rolled out their updated utility, Evrsoft First Page 2006, designed to tackle the more dynamic cyberscape that is web 2.0. In addition to a feature loaded HTML editor, Evrsoft First Page brings a wellrounded set of extras and utilities that make web design approachable for even the most inexperienced site creator.
• Color coded language highlighting
• Live preview mode
• Supports HTML, XHTML, ASP, PHP, JavaScript and others
• Easy, normal, advanced and hardcore modes for UI
Evrsoft First Page is not the absolute easiest program for total beginners, but we appreciate their inclusion of difficulty modes designed to match user experience and confidence. Seasoned net veterans will opt for the “hardcore” mode while first time web authors will want to climb their way from easy up to normal.
Fortunately for new users, Evrsoft First Page provides HTML samples, typical site style templates and other useful code snippets.
Evrsoft First Page boasts a feature set that any web developer can stand behind. In addition to providing a handy HTML editor that can handle multiple windows simultaneously, Evrsoft First Page automatically searches for invalid code, color codes tags and content and checks spelling.
For users less comfortable with the intricacies of markup languages, Evrsoft First Page features a live preview mode. You can see the changes your coding elicits in real time. The live preview mode doesn’t register all HTML effects and changes however, so be sure to run a full preview before disregarding or reworking any HTML.
Evrsoft First Page includes basic utilities for simple tasks like creating rollover images and saving color themes.
