Making simple font, color and link changes is fully automated in TopStyle Pro 4 and requires a few simple clicks. Naturally, you’re free to edit and modify basic site structure and layout by manually inserting code too.

For a comparatively fresh release, we were pleased to see that TopStyle Pro 4 ran quickly without any lag or bug related hang-ups.

While the program does feature a preview mode, TopStyle Pro 4 is not a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) web design program. TopStyle Pro 4 automatically configures its preview mode for your installed browsers. You can preview your site in multiple browsers to double check the health of your code.

As an additional safeguard against faulty code and language errors, TopStyle Pro 4 features a code checker that automatically confirms the fidelity of your CSS and HTML. In case you miss a typo or forget to provide a link on your site, making quick manual updates in real time is entirely approachable with TopStyle Pro 4’s straightforward live FTP client.

Like other leading HTML editors and web design utilities, TopStyle Pro 4 features a healthy library of HTML and CSS tags. The program auto completes certain tags as well, saving you the hassle of copy and pasting segments of code.

Users with old web 1.0 sites waiting for code updates will be pleased to hear that TopStyle Pro 4 features an able code converter that updates plain HTML to cotemporary markup languages.

TopStyle Pro 4 provides access to a user forum. Ultimately however, TopStyle Pro 4’s community is still small and you’ll find a much larger amount of user created content like templates and FAQs for other more ubiquitous programs like CoffeeCup. The onboard help files and manual that ship with TopStyle Pro 4 are thorough and easy to search.

Value:  

With a comparatively narrow feature set, TopStyle Pro 4 is somewhat overpriced for a user not working exclusively within the programs preferred languages. That being said, for HTML and CSS site design, TopStyle Pro 4 is a sound investment.

Particularly in regard to updating old sites to match modern codes, we were impressed by TopStyle Pro 4. We would have liked to see more features that kept amateur and beginner users in mind, but as an HTML and CSS editor, TopStyle Pro 4 will be useful in the web designer’s arsenal.
