Ease of Use:

Tools:  

Obviously, different designers prefer to operate in different environments and different sites require different tools. That’s why we appreciate UltraEdit’s inclusion of saveable custom environment layouts. You can configure a discrete environment for, say, simple HTML work that will remember the tools and preferences associated with it.

Additional software is not necessary for communicating with your website as UltraEdit includes an FTP client.

UltraEdit is a program for the tech savvy by the tech savvy. UltraEdit’s community is responsive and make efforts to address bugs, inquiries and user feedback. There is an informative manual available for UltraEdit online. You can find FAQs and tutorials to get started as well.

Value:  

Fifty bucks is a lot for a text editor, right? That might be the case, but given UltraEdit’s feature set and efficacy as a web design utility, we think serious designers will more than happy with shelling out the cash for the time and headaches it can save. The shareware version of UltraEdit is available to download and try before purchasing a license.

UltraEdit is a text editor designed with the wide variety of web design tasks in mind. It will handle as well in a Perl setting as it will in with HTML on the agenda. Provided that you don’t need WYSIWYG guidance in your web design, UltraEdit is a versatile e-swiss army knife.
